The Beta version of Yacht Manager Lite released
The existence of Yacht Manager Software was founded on the principal that if software does not exist to do a job then get on and write it.
The founder Bill Peach; Had ordered a new yacht which from his experience in the merchant navy as a navigator and heavily involved in continuous planned maintenance of commercial vessels was something he wished to use to maintain the yacht to a high standard, but unfortunately there was no software targeted at the leisure industry. Bill Peach's experience working as IT director for Lloyds Register Fairplay, who are information providers for commercial shipping, and practical experience from owning yachts and working with commercial ships, meant that he was well placed to put together a team to provide software for the job.
Software, designed and tried and tested from a practical point of view is something that has been important in the projects he has managed in the past, and one that because of his passion for sailing meant that would be clearly targeted carefully to simplify the user interface.
