This project provided an email responder service for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) trans-Atlantic sailing rally for yachts from Las Palmas in Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay in St Lucia in the Caribbean

This annual event organised by World Cruising Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year with 236 entries with each vessel carrying a Yellowbrick tracking device. The email responder coordinated the position information from the trackers every 6 hours then automatically transmitted the report to the competing vessels by email allowing the skippers to select the reports they wanted

Weather reports, fleet and safety messages were also sent throughout the event. In all 22,000 emails were sent
